2 Chainz Chooses Good Clean Carpets for steam cleaning his notorious pink trap house.
It was a bright and sunny morning in Atlanta when we woke up at Good Clean Carpets ready to work, and checked our iPads for the day’s bookings. We saw that someone by the name of 2 Chainz had requested our services at a “Pink Trap House”. The name sounded familiar, but we just couldn’t quite put our fingers on it. Where had we heard it before? We couldn’t figure it out, so we continued on with our morning routine by gearing up for the day.
Preparing For Battle
We put on our socks, tucked in our shirts, and got all our equipment together. Unsure of what we would be up against, we brought everything we could possibly need. We wanted to make sure we were well-prepared. On our way over, we looked more closely at the booking. We had received it the night before, and it explained in the details that there were a bunch of pink stains everywhere.
The white carpet inside the trap house was apparently a mess from a paint job the house had recently undergone. It was in that moment we knew that we were in for a serious day’s work. None of us spoke the rest of the ride, but we were all thinking the same thing. I could actually see a bead of sweat forming on Daniel’s forehead. We all nervously braced ourselves for what was in store.
Arriving At The Trap House
Our Good Clean Carpets Atlanta carpet cleaning van pulled into the property, and what we saw was the most peculiar scene. First off, the house was pink. As in, the whole house painted all one color—the shutters, roof, sidings, everything. There was even a pink car and a pink kitchen stove in the front lawn. And even stranger was that there were people posing for pictures in front of the house!
We’d never seen such a sight before. Joe even double checked that we had the right address. It was like an actual tourist attraction right in front of us, in our own town, and we had never heard of it. We felt like we’d been missing out on something! So we did what anyone with sense would’ve done. We took turns taking each other’s picture in front of the house. We figured it would be alright since we had arrived pretty early.
Pink Paint VS. Good Clean Carpets
When we were finished with all that, we went inside to inspect the house. You’ll never believe what color the inside was! 2 Chainz explained to us that the painters had been a little sloppy with painting the inside, and had forgotten to put plastic sheets on the carpet.
We knew we would need most of the equipment we had brought with us—we were glad we had planned ahead with this one! The paint spills were pretty heavy and spread throughout the house. Our next step was to bring in the Rotovac. This high-powered vacuum uses hot water to extract stains even tougher than paint, so we knew it would get the job done.
Inside The Trap House
Buckle up, people, because I’m about to blow your mind… Nine times out of ten, the bleach damage on “white” carpet appears pink. What does that tell us? It means the bleach has damaged and stripped away the blue dye, leaving behind the red and yellow dye.
The red and yellow dye appears to be pink. Now, I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “Red and yellow make orange, dummy.” And you’re right about that. But in very, very light brown carpet, there’s a lot more red dye than yellow dye. So, when the blue has been stripped away, what’s left over appears to be pink, not orange. Got it?
Trap Music Motivation
While we were doing our work inside the Trap House, we heard lots of trap music blasting pretty much the whole time. Again, a few of us thought we recognized some of the songs, but we couldn’t tell for sure. 2 Chainz stayed to hang out with us for a few hours. He said he wasn’t sure whose music it was, either, so it turns out we were all wondering the same thing.
When we had finally finished cleaning up all the pink paint, we told 2 Chainz to let the carpet dry for about a day. He said that was fine, and that he mostly stayed in the kitchen anyway. When we asked him where we knew him from, he said we’d never met, but that we all looked pretty familiar, too. It seems that part will forever be a mystery.
